TAM - In a Nutshell
Mechanics is concerned with the study of the deformation
and flow of solids and fluids. To this end,
theoretical (analytical and numerical) as well as experimental
studies are conducted in order to understand the underlying phenomena
and mechanism that lead to failure in materials. Mechanics
is a fast-growing field, which is transient in nature. Due to
the varied applications of mechanics, it has evolved to
be an inter-disciplinary program with
applications in diverse
areas of science and engineering, such as
- Aeronautical Engineering
- Applied Mathematics
- Applied Physics
- Biomedical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Materials Science & Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
